Minimalism

Project Statement

I do not try to record the world exactly as I see it.  It is my goal to create experiential art with my camera.  Whilst I draw my inspiration from the photographers Stieglitz, Minor White and Ernst Haas, more so, I am drawn to the classic and contemporary painters from Turner and Kandinsky to Rothko and Frankenhaler.  I did not initially grasp the beauty in truly abstract forms, as I have grown as an artist I find myself gravitating more and more towards abstract compositions as well as to the emotional qualities created with color and light and those painters that have an intuitive approach to art making.
